A question most parents would love to know the answer to! We’re no experts, it’s purely trial and error but we find…..works!
We do try to get a bedtime routine as soon as possible but it can vary from one child to another
At about six weeks old we start to put them to bed upstairs on their own without a dummy so they learn to settle and go to sleep, putting them to bed without a dummy helps them go into a deeper sleep, they will cry for attention but just try not to go back in and comfort them, if baby is getting to distressed it might just be to soon to start, just try again a week later.
But at the end of the day it does come down to trial and error, but for us it seems to of worked.
Good Luck
